NARDEL Architects is based in Naarm/Melbourne. With a primary focus on inner-city alterations and additions, we aim to create quiet spaces that invite repose. Millimetre-precise design and a judicious approach to embellishment reveals a rhythmic, rational beauty that comes alive in built form, when it creates and interacts with emotive and sensory elements.
A NARDEL Architects house is characterised by logical volumes, maximal space and light, minimal fuss. Raw materials mingle with polished textures, subtle motifs and apparently simple detailing. Never formulaic: individual site characteristics, heritage and existing features are honoured in fresh form. Always cool and calm: the gentle, enveloping presence makes it a home.
Natasha established NARDEL Architects in 2023 after working at two respected Melbourne practices. With a process slightly different to most, she designs and models at the same time (rather than sequentially) to thoroughly analyse the construction of volume. Aiming to soak up all available millimetres, sharply hone intersections and enliven in-between spaces, Natasha pursues sparse, refined detailing that feels effortless and easy to live in.
